You can get covered if you suddenly get hospitalized if you get involved in an accident or get unexpectedly ill. However, you should know that this kind of insurance is not recommended for comprehensive health care.
One disadvantage of temporary health insurance plans is that short term health insurance plans are ineligible for guaranteed issue health insurance plans. This means that it can make the plan very expensive if you have pre-existing medical condition when you apply. Short-term health insurance plans do not cover pre-existing medical conditions.
So, if you have a serious pre-existing medical condition, it is recommended that you shouldnt purchase short-term health insurance plan. You will just waste money if you do.
