One disadvantage of temporary health insurance plans is that short term health insurance plans are ineligible for guaranteed issue health insurance plans. This means that it can make the plan very expensive if you have pre-existing medical condition when you apply. Short-term health insurance plans do not cover pre-existing medical conditions.
So, if you have a serious pre-existing medical condition, it is recommended that you shouldn’t purchase short-term health insurance plan. You will just waste money if you do.
