This is a non profit organization that provides affordable health insurance for people who are denied health insurance policies from private insurance companies because of their present medical condition.



However, before you can get covered by ACHIA, you need to know the different eligibility requirements. You can be eligible for health insurance if you are a resident of Alaska for at least 12 months, you are not covered by any other health benefit plan, and you are not yet eligible for any other medical coverage plans like Veteran Health Benefits, Indian Health services and other government health plans.



There are also certain illnesses that you should have before you can be covered by ACHIA. You can request for the list of illnesses that they cover in order for you to be informed about it and also know the different requirements you need in order to get covered by ACHIA.



The ACHIA can really benefit you if you were rejected by other private insurance companies. If you have a pre-existing medical condition, you will likely be rejected by other insurance companies. However, in ACHIA, you can be covered even if you have a certain medical condition. They also offer health insurance at an affordable rate that most people living in Alaska can afford.



ACHIA also offers different plans that are suitable for different kinds of people.



So, if you plan on living in Alaska and want to have health insurance, ACHIA is probably one of the best choices you can make. Always remember that having health insurance in Alaska is very necessary. You probably don’t want to shoulder all the medical expenses you have to pay if in case you or your loved one gets afflicted by a serious health condition.
